Welcome to the Sugar Land Social District, where you can enjoy your favorite drinks outdoors while exploring Sugar Land’s best dining, shopping, and entertainment. This new district connects the energy of Sugar Land Town Square and First Colony Mall, creating a fun, walkable experience that supports local businesses and celebrates community.
Whether you are meeting friends, hosting family, or taking in the holiday magic, it is always sweeter when you are in Sugar Land.
How It Works
- Order your drink from any participating bar or restaurant within the district.
- Ask for a branded Social District cup to enjoy your beverage outdoors.
- Sip responsibly as you stroll between approved areas marked by signage and maps.
The Social District is open:
- Monday to Saturday: 7 a.m. to 2:15 a.m.
- Sunday: Noon to 2:15 a.m.
Please note that beverages should remain within district boundaries and be carried in official branded cups.
🎄 Celebrate the Launch on December 5
To mark the launch, visitors are invited to join the celebration during Sugar Land’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting on December 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Guests who purchase an item from at least three participating businesses can receive a custom FIFA World Cup 26™ Houston & Visit Sugar Land koozie and enjoy a free hot chocolate from the Visit Sugar Land cart.
This event will serve as the first public introduction of the Social District, just in time for the holidays and Sugar Land’s role as a Houston Host City Supporter for FIFA World Cup 26™.

What is the Sugar Land Social District?
The Social District is an open-container area where adults (21+) can responsibly enjoy alcoholic beverages outdoors in designated zones at Sugar Land Town Square and First Colony Mall.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Beverages must be purchased from participating businesses within the district.
Can I take my drink into another business?
Only into participating businesses marked with the Social District decal.
Are glass containers allowed?
No. All beverages must be in official branded cups provided by participating businesses.
What are the hours of operation?
Monday to Saturday: 7 a.m. to 2:15 a.m. | Sunday: Noon to 2:15 a.m.
Rules and Reminders
- Alcoholic beverages must stay within district boundaries.

- Open containers are not allowed inside vehicles.
