Cleopatra, Caesar, Antony—and why romance was never accidental.
Last year, we explored Love in Ancient Egypt. This year, we'll return to Ancient Egypt with a look at Cleopatra, one of its most famous power players.
Some consider the story of Cleopatra, Caesar, and Antony one of the greatest love stories ever told.
Explore the reality behind the legend this Valentine’s Day, February 14, from 6 PM to 9 PM at HMNS Sugar Land. This immersive evening dives deeper into the calculated alliances that shaped two empires.
The event combines an illuminating lecture by Michelle Marlar, Ph.D., Director of Egyptian Archaeological Missions, with an elegant three course dinner and wine service. Discover how love, alliance, and power overlapped, why Cleopatra aligned herself with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, and how these strategic partnerships changed the course of Roman and Egyptian history forever.
This event is for adults 21 or older.
