Howey's Water Safety Festival is an annual free family event hosted by Houston Swim Club to promote water safety and drowning prevention. The second annual festival is scheduled for May 17, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sugar Land Town Center, coinciding with National Learn to Swim Day.
The festival features over 30 vendors and offers a variety of activities, including water safety education, interactive presentations by the U.S. Coast Guard and Stop Drowning Now, CPR education from American Heart Association instructors, crafts, games, bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, and prizes. Attendees can also enjoy music and dance-offs with Howey the Dolphin, the club's mascot.
A raffle with gift baskets donated by Houston Swim Club and other vendors will be held, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Stop Drowning Now, a nonprofit dedicated to drowning prevention.
