Rent out a self-service kayak at Sugar Land Memorial Park for a day of scenic view. Stroll along the city’s many hiking trails with some rather striking ones at Cullinan Park and Brazos River Park. Keep your eyes open for the local wildlife, including different species of birds at Cullinan Park, which is part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s statewide birding trail, the Katy Prairie Loop.

Reminisce in the smells of your first baseball game as you cheer for the home team of the Houston Astros AAA-affiliated, Sugar Land Space Cowboys at Constellation Field. From its freshly-mown Bermuda-grass surface to the space-themed playground, freshly popped popcorn and roasting hot dogs, you’ll realize why baseball is known as America’s favorite pastime.
