Afterwards, treat the family to something cold at one of Sugar Land’s favorite sweet spots. Dessert destinations include Mystic Dessert Bar for chocolate dipped bacon, or Hippo Ice for flavorful shaved ice or bubble tea. But if you’re in for a sweet experience visit, Sub Zero Ice Cream and Yogurt that features over 30 flavors (amaretto, dulce de leche, pistachio) and different ice cream bases (regular, vegan, gluten-free) to choose from. Watch as they make your ice cream from scratch using liquid nitrogen to get the creamy consistency we all know and love. Have a weakness for pizza? Houston Museum of Natural Science

Explore and Discover

Explore the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land and immerse yourself in an out-of-this-world adventure. Explore the fifth largest fossil collection located in the country, uncover prehistoric fossils in the Dig Pit, marvel at the 2,000-gallon salt-water aquarium, enjoy educational shows at the Digital Dome Theater, and get a glimpse of our very own T-Rex “Devil Rex.”

If puzzles excite you, try Escape Again where you and your team are immersed in a real-life adventure game, solving puzzles and challenges to escape one of the themed rooms in less than 60 minutes. Themes include losing your way while hiking with friends, solving the mystery of a reality show star gone missing, or finding Santa’s list before Christmas arrives. (Insider Tip: Take the challenge with a group of 6-8 people. Not only will you increase the fun, but you will also increase your chances of escaping.)

Discover local finds and the freshest produce at the Farmer’s Market at Imperial every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stroll past tables where farmers and local artisans showcase their freshest vegetables and fruits as well as goods like succulents, canned jellies and homemade cheeses.
